WHAT CAN I EXPECT ONCE I'VE BOOKED WITH YOU?

Congratulations! You are officially a client of Carafa Cakes. Once we have had our detailed discussion of your event and gone over the emailed inquiry form, I will artistcially render my vision for your cake via pencil sketches and give you up to 3 options. I will include corresponding mood boards that will coincide with each design. Once you have recieved your first sketch we can make any revisions necessary and create a final sketch that will be your wedding cake.

Finalization of design will move us forward into signing the cake contract and discussing payment terms and deadlines. After we have established a set plan for event day, we now get to continue the countdown.

*I love taking care of my clients and future brides which is why i take client care very seriously. You all will be the first on my mind when it comes to little "extras" during the time we work together.

HOW OFTEN WILL WE COMMUNICATE?

From the time of your inquiry, we will be in touch to get all of the details. inquiry (form) design planning, sketches, emails back and forth to finalize. depending on how far in advance your event date is deom when you booked me, i will make sure you are in the loop and that everything is on track throughout your waiting period. The best part, you can follow up with me at any time with your questions, event changes or clarifications.

DO YOU OFFER CAKE TASTINGS

Absolutely. However, by now you know that we do things a little non-traditional. Our at home custom cake tasting boxes were designed for more than just deciding on the final flavors of your wedding  or celebration cake. Every time you indulge in a piece of Carafa Cake we want you to be spoiled with a sweet experience. the word cake tasting doesnt do our boxes justice. When you purchase a tasting box you are getting so much more than just a bite of cake. In my head, that means your deserve a gifting experience that doubles as your tasting in the privacy of your own home. Learn more >>BUTTON<<

WHAT ARE THE PAYMENT OPTIONS?

All payment notifications will be sent via invoice. Payment options include Venmo (which is preferred), Credit Card via Square, or pay via Wix Invoice.

HOW MUCH NOTICE DO YOU REQUIRE?

All of our cakes are booked on a first come first serve basis. This means that securing your date as early as possible is  the best way to book exactly who you want to work with and avoid dissapointment. Don't forget that wedding peak season (May-October) fills up the quickest and some brides book anywhere from 6 months to a year in advance.
For smaller cakes, we require 2-6 weeks notice, however this is subject to availability. the best way to contact us about our availability is via email or inquiry form on my website.
*We cannot guarantee prices and availability until your booking is secured

HOW DO YOU ICE YOUR CAKES?

Our cakes are given the special treatment of being filled and covered in a swiss meringue buttercream. This is the perfect addition to every flavor combination as well as not being overly sweet which so many adore. Fondant covered cakes, although beautiful in their own way, dont suit the aesthetic and flavor palette we strive for.

CAN MY FLORIST DECORATE THE CAKE?

Unfortunately, we do not allow anyone else to dress our cakes. Florals are a significant part of the cake design and can often be the entirety of the design. We pride ourselves on our technique when it comes to styling and placing the florals to complete all the finishing touches.

CAN YOU MATCH THE CAKE FLORALS TO MY WEDDING FLORALS?

Of course! The best way to achieve this is to contact your florist directly. Once we have settled on a design that you love, we will let your florist know the amount and type of florals needs for your cake design and those can be ordered that way. This way your florist can supply the exact florals we will need. florals will need to be provided prior to the wedding cake delivery unless otherwise discussed

DO YOU USE DUMMY TIERS?

All of our cakes from single tier to four tiers are stacked and created with real cake. All of our cakes that are stacked at five tiers or more will include partial dummy tiers that make up the large base of the cake that make up that extravagent look. Pricing will remail the same on all real and fake tiers as stacking, design and intricacy remain the same.

WHAT'S THE BEST WAY TO STORE LEFTOVER CAKE?

All leftover cake slices should be individually wrapped in cling wrap (double wrap for extra protection from drying out), place slices in an airtight container or zip lock bag and store in the freezer; slices can last up to 3 months if wrapped properly. When you're ready to consume, take your desired number of slices out of the freezer and leave on the counter to thaw (keep slices wrapped until cool to the touch or completely thawed - 30 minutes to 1 hour).

CAN YOU ACCOMODATE ANY DIETARY RESTRICTIONS?

All of our cakes are made in the same kitchen where nuts, gluten and dairy are present
